Under-Hood Color

I'm playing with ideas for engine bay color. Just want to see what all some of you have done with splashes of color, what you used (paint or powder coat). Post all the pics....

I highly doubt you would use powder coating under the hood. This is done by electricity, so you can see the problem in that. What do you mean by colour under the hood?

Powder/ceramic coating is best and will last the longest. It depends on what you want to paint/coat.

More like what parts are worth powder coating vs paint, and just wanting to see clean (completed) bays for ideas.

Valve cover is vht wrinkle paint. Manifold and hot side is ceramic coated. Charge pipes were powder coated by po. Brake booster, timing cover and p/s reservoir were painted

I never get tired of seeing that engine bay.

Tony's looks way slicker than mine but i went with pearl white and the HKS purple and billet aluminum look.

Where did you get your intake manifold? That is the first time I've ever seen that one. I like that rail mounted FPR too.

Yeah the FPR is nice. That's a cyclone IM.

Your honesty is awesome! I would say a lot more people than you would have interpreted that the same way

I like to keep my engine bay (strut towers & firewall & frame) the same color as the car. That way when I change the color of an engine part it really pops out at you. The red among black really seems to direct people's eyes. Obviously the 420a engine bay is a sideways appearance compared to the 4g63 engine bay. But I just wanted to share the way I do it. The variation on the engine makes it pop

I often thought of doing a satin copper, polished silver aluminum and matt black theme. I think that would look good.
