Basically, I have a new turbine housing on my 16g and it seems that everything I try to do there is no way to control boost. I have a Joe P MBC and ive hooked it up every which way and set it up and down. Everything worked fine before. Basically I do a pull and the boost just keeps climbing until i let of the gas (usually by the time it hits 18psi). I have even tried taking the controller totally off to try to let the wastegate open itself.. no luck. Is the flapper not opening at all? I know its closed cause im hitting 15psi by 3500. Any ideas what it could be and how to fix it?

Is the wastegate the orig one from your 16G? If not it's possible you have a 17psi Garrett actuator which would explain why you cannot set boost < 17-18psi.

If is the stock Mitsu actuator (or want to test an unknown actuator), attach a bicycle pump (the french valve type) to the vac fitting on the actuator. See how much PSI it takes for it to start to move and to fully open.

it is the original wastegate. good idea about the bike pump ill have to try that out. maybe i can find one at walmart heh
