Hey.. I just installed my evo 16g and my full 3" exhaust. I just did a test drive and the boost isn't as hard as it should be I just lent my boost leak tester out to a friend of mine so I can't test it but I know I probably have a boost leak in my LICP.
The reason I feel this way immediately is because I made my own 16g install kit based directly off of pictures and part numbers from other kits out there. In all of the pictures they have just a J-pipe and they claim it's all you need but the stock LICP comes in from the left... and the j-pipe faces straight down.. if they were both hard pipes I could just get a 90 coupler.. but the LICP is soft so I can't do that. I had to cut a peice of my old exhaust off (a 2" by 2" section) and put it inside of the LICP and use a 90 to make the connection. I had to trim off my radiator to get it to fit.
It's just temporary though, my question is: what do you REALLY need, I see SBR has a few extra peices and what not. Can someone give me a decent solution and possibly a vendor that sells just the pipe that I need. Maybe even tapped for a pressure source? Thanks guys
