Yes I have done many leak tests and have found that the BOV is leaking right out of the threads. I have used water and gotton bubbles from around the adjustment screw. Before I tear this thing open is it worth doing so? Thinking I could either teflon tape it somehow or RTV the SOB, or invest in the new diaphram. Getting ready to break car out from under the covers, so figured to start working on it. thnx in advance.

Mine leaked around the screw also i just tightened it down really really tight i get some compressor surge at lower RPMs but it doesnt leak anymore

I had the same issue and I used teflon tape. Issue solved.

I also have a compressor surge issue at lower rpm's. This is a separate issue and there is a solution to remove the smaller spring in the BOV. There is a write up on it which should be able to be found in the archives. :thumb:

Same problem but mine was because the threads got screwed up. So i threw it away and got a tial LOL

thinking about going with a tial, because once I get my studs in im going for a 24 psi tune. And not to confident in the Type S at that psi. Tial's seem to work nice, my friend has one on his T/A(yes trans am, supercharged) and it sounds pretty nice. Although, nothing seems to be as loud and noticable as the greddy. We'll see...still waiting for some tax money, might get MAF-T also...

I am going to have to highly recommend the TiaL. Best BOV on the market. Not that expensive either; I got mine for about $200 with the aluminum flange.
