1G Two Step Launch RPMs?

How many RPMs do you guys have set for your two step? Whats the best range for launching? Mine is at 4k RPMS using DSM Link V2.

I launch around 5k. With the colder weather I do get more wheel spin with that setting tho.

It depends on your mods, suspension, tires, transmission, and other things. There is obviously no set rpm where the car will launch well. I launch at 5300rpm with no boost cause I'm FWD

Nothing but wheelspin through first, sometimes traction is a problem in 2nd also. The roads are just too cold.

I launch at 5500 using a dsm chips stage 3 chip. i get a bit of wheel spin but its not too crazy yet.

I was bogging too much at 5200

In the colder weather though there is really no 'launching' for me.
With my new build, and my street tires in this colder weather if I get on it in 2nd gear at all the car will get sideways.

5500 aem ems with a little ignition retard so my boost is 10psi for the launch, yes it spins but I have a rev limiter set to 8500 cause my cams fade at 8300, I let em spin till I can't feel em spin any more and hit second right on the money with no boost drop offs.

My Eclipse is stock besides a intake. But I launch around 2500 RPM. But I have no tread on my tires. Haha

when i used two step on my 50 trim i had at 5300 rpms.but after i upgraded to fp red im launhing at 5700 rpms. and at the track i using antilag. good traction and having 22 psi at launch (using antilag) is just insane

Sounds like about the same setup as me im using a 60trim at 23 psi, street tune, I get crazy spin on a 4k launch.

Thanks for the input guys clearly everyone has a different prefrence depending on their setup, just nice to get a ballpark stat. Clearly I will have to test this in warmer weather I should not spin at a 4k launch.

Once again thank you guys for the response youve been great, however it seems most replies are from awd cars which is fine, but dont b scared fellow gst and tsi owners I want to hear more input for both fwd and awd cars.
