runs rich after two step

Anyone else ever have this issue? Not sure why but every time I hit my launch limiter and build boost then let off I run extremely rich for about 15 seconds idles rough and it wants to die.

Why are you letting off? You are suppose to launch it. That's completely normal given what the two step is supposed to do & actually used for. Was there another question you forgot to ask?

Do what? This isn't my first rodeo, I've had plenty of cars not run rich after two step and run perfectly fine.

Are you using anti-lag with it? Could just be how you have it set up in link.

I think the point here is unless you are actually launching the car what does it matter? As what other reason do you need to hit 2step But to launch?

It likely has to do with the way the car is tuned if you are not using Anti Lag and it's just going rich when you let of and having trouble burning off any of the excess fuel(or if you are using it as well)

Post a log launching the car and of not... Though like I said what does it matter unless you just like to hit 2 step for the %$# of it.

He has to be using anti-lag, says it builds boost. You are enriching the fuel mixture by engaging the 2-step. It's going to run rich unless you USE that extra fuel...

^^ you can build boost with just the launch control and no anti-lag! I do it everytime at the drag strip when I launch, no need for anti-lag at all!

Launch control/ 2 step same thing!! and yes thru ecmlink! I launch with about 10psi with my 2 step at 5250!

Anti lag and 2 step are 2 different types of launch controls, they both build boost. It all depends on your setup to decide which one you use

2 step is simply a rev limiter used to hold the car at a certain RPM at the line.

Anti lag will retard the ignition timing and enrich the fuel mixture to cause the turbo to spool up. You set what point you want the retard/enrichment to start at and then the 2 step to make sure it will keep the engine from going over a certain RPM.

Anti lag is only needed to spool larger turbos from a dig. I would say anything 30R and under you only need 2 step to build boost on the line. Anything larger then a 30R you might want to consider Anti-Lag.

Even on a holset hx40 you dont need antilag, i used it for a bit, sounds and looks cool built a little more boost than 2 step, but indont think it's worth the extra heat to be paranoid about melting turbine blades

If you hold 2 step long enough itll build boost the same
