So i did a timing belt change and had all my pipes polished and once i installed everything it starts and runs fine but its not running correctly. it may be a long read but i will cut it down to make it a bit bareable to read.

before the change my wideband said the car ran 14.5-14.7 while on a cruise of about 20-25% throttle and my type s bov was plugged on the lower nipple and ran fine with ZERO problems and everything was correct.

now after the work i did not hook the lower nipple up and it runs fine till i go for a cruise and it now runs at 11.6-12.2 on a cruise at the same throttle 20-25%.

when at idle unplugged nipple it sits at 13.5
plugged nipple runs at 11.5 and both run rich when driving.

i had installed the punishment racing SS o2 housing while i was doing the other work and thought it could be a small exhaust leak to cause it to run rich like this but i dont know if it would affect it or not.

i have done 2 boost leak tests and all the clamps are tight with no leaks

on the BOV i now notice some weird noises, when lower nipple unplugged it sucks in air at idle and its louder when i let off the throttle and straight away i hear a whistle from the lower nipple untill i get on the throttle again? is this ment to be like that???

as before i had this plugged up and everything ran great with no problems so i am stuck as to the next course of action to take should i look into the o2 housing and take it further or look else where?

thanks for reading this long post and i hope someone can help. :thumb:

so doing some reading and people said the front o2 sensor could be the problem but there about 1 year old so could the new location in the PR o2 housing be causing me this issue weather it be to close or leaking for the flanges? really am lost and need a little assistance

The bottom nipple on the Greddy bov should be left unplugged.

An exhaust leak would cause a leaner reading so I think you just fixed your exhaust leak(s) when installing the PR o2.

So if it has fixed a leak even though i dont know why its leaking as i had no signs of an exhaust leak, why is it now running rich then? I was running great before the timing belt job and was getting good miles to a tank and now i did 50 miles on 1/4 of a tank 50!!!! Thats not how it use to be, any other options on what could be the problem as ive just found a stored CEL p0170 code and all it says is fuel trim nothing else.

Sso why is my 2nd nipple sucking in unmetered air? And why the heck was it running fine before and not its not when everything is pretty much the same as before

So has anyone else got any options? The o2 sensors are pretty new and ive got no boost leaks? What else could i look out for or check

Im exhausting all resources here and im needing help! Inow have in my head that the richness couod he because when i took the cams out i had to unbolt the CAS bolt for the cam and it could be 180 degrees out but i dont know if this is true and wouod cause it to run rich or not? Any help would be great thanks
