Two questions...one noob and other important

Alright, first with the noob question. On the right side of the center vents (next to the rear wiper button) there is a little flip switch thingy...its not the one that closes the vents, so what does it do? Next, I've read up on crankwalk, and I think I might have early symptoms. When I take a wide sweeping left turn (and only left...not right), the clutch totally loses pressure. Clutch fluid is at the right level, but I heard that this can be a sign of crankwalk. I do not have the time or skill to check and see how much play there is. I am simply curious what will happen as this progressively gets worse. Any help is appreciated.

i was wondering the same thing about the switch next to the ac vents. i think its for some kind of filter? i dunno.

hope you dont have crankwalk. how many miles does your car have?

It's the cool air bypass lever. Don't know what it does.

Crankwalk will eventually ruin your engine.

That little switch does bypass the air coming from either the air conditioning or the heat. It takes air from the outside. So when its cold and your blowing heat it blows cold air through with the switch up. Is that why you always feel so cold in the morning because cold air is blowing on you in a cold car???? Hope that clears things up.

135,000 Oh, and thanks for finally clearing up that switch...you have no idea how much that bugged me

From everything i have read most cars crankwalk near 60 to 80 thousand miles. I have yet to read about a car crankwalking that long in its life. But you could have a rare case, hope you dont.

i suggest you look at vfaq and measure your crank before she goes on ya
