Problem #1: I just got an Aeromotive FPR froma friend and it seems to be lacking the right sized bottom piece that connects the bends. I ordered the fitting that bolts right on to the fuel rail, so the fpr should fit right on there. but i'm missing that piece and i was wondering if anyone could help me find it. It's the piece that screws in at the bottom with a seal and has the male part. Not sure if it has to be AN-8 or AN-6?

Problem #2: Ever since I've had my car, when i rev or just drive it up to 2400-2900, my transfer case SHAKES VIOLENTLY! and it makes the most awful vibration noise! I've replaced all of my motor mounts and it just won't seem to go away. Is anyone else having this problem?

Most performance shops should have all the fittings you need in shop. I bought mine 2 weeks ago and didnt order the install kit bc to me it was a rip off. you need the -6an fittings btw. unless you got a different afpr than most dsm's own.

you need

2 male to male fittings $5 for both
1 plug fitting $2
3 o-rings $ .75
1 female to female 90 degree bend fitting (connects to fuel rail fitting) $9
1 female to hose type fitting (connects to fuel return line) $9
2 feet or so of high pressure hose (fpr to return line) $6
1 fuel rail fitting $25 which you already have....

Total $56.75..............not bad compared to $100 for install kit from most places.

maybe your transfer case is low on fluid? i thought i heard something about them leaking...

Are you sure it's your transfer case? When I bought my car it had the stock cat to pass emissions, and it use to do the same thing between 2500-3500 or so. Once I replaced it with a high flow unit, it has never happened since. Just a though.

Is it possible that the exhaust could be loose, and could be hitting the transfer case?

Get under the car and see what shakes. Try shaking stuff while the car is off, and if necessary look under the car while a friend revs it. It could be that a few of the bolts that hold the transfer case onto the transmission are loose or missing.

If it makes the sound while the car isn't moving then it doesn't have anything to do with the transfer cases fluid level. Something must be loose.

yeah i had it in the air, literally, on a rack and had my dad see what the noise was. He's a mechanic and said that everything is vibrating so badly. You're right it could be the cat because i never changed that. I'll keep that one in mind. I'll also check the fluid in the transfer case. Thanks guys

Would changing the cat stop the transfer case from vibrating? Unless in the process of changing the cat you fix the loose exhaust?

I noticed you didn't say you were going to check if any bolts were missing from the transfer case. Check to see if there are any bolts missing from the transfer case. That would definitely cause it to vibrate violently.

An exhaust tone is not going to rattle your whole car so bad that it shakes obnoxiously. Something somewhere might be loose. I would double check the T-case for fluid also, that probably isnt the problem but wouldnt hurt. :talon:

Forgot to mention, could be your exhaust heat shield too :talon:
