turning car on in cold weather

i just wanted to know how long does it take most of you for the car not to smoke anymore after you turn your car on when its cold.

because i turned my car on drove around for about 20 25 minutes and my car still was letting out smoke like i just turned it on. it does smell like anyting is burning or anything just regular white smoke from the cold tempertures.

right not the weather statition said its about 10 degrees where i live and feels like 5 degrees . should i be worry or is this just normal being that its so cold. thanks.

normally in cold weather, EVERY exhaust will smoke. the exhaust gas is hotter than the air so you can see it. just like when a river or lake water gets warmer than the outside air, you see "smoke" (actually moisture evaporating) in the air. normally with mine at start up it wont smoke, until it gets warm enough and the exhaust pipe warms up.
