Turn Signals

Of all the turn signal threads I have read none of them have cleared up what exactly I'm looking for, and what I'm looking for is this:

Before I swapped my interior wiring harness, located under the dash, I had a signaling problem similar to that of everyone else. When I swapped it out with one that was fully functional the problem still remained and did the exact same thing minus the "draining" of the back lighting on the gauge cluster (still does it a bit). I then proceeded to have two mobile mechanics, who knew nothing about wiring what so ever, look at it and thought maybe it was the switch (which was already changed out). Now, after they had "figured" the situation out, the turn signals are on the other side. I suspect that possibly there is a ground bad somewhere but where? I've checked everything, to include all grounds in the rear and inside the car. I've also gone to the extent of changing out all light bulbs, minus the head lights as I've recently replaced them, and I still haven't gotten them to work properly... any takes?

Do they work seldomly? Or not at all? Have you listened for the relay when it is not working? If you hear the relay but its not working then it is clearly something after it.

have you checked resistance of the relay coil? it could just be the simple fact that the coil in the relay has higher resistance than it should and is taking extra power to make it open and close the switch. I know its a pain to get to but try either testing it or just change it, it shouldn't be too expensive
