Therefor it's harder to do simply because parts are harder to come by and mostly has to be custom.... And you're telling me that a lot of 4g owners don't stomp around the 420a forum acting like they're platform is the so damn superior...... ...??come on......

Well truthfully the platform is superior, so they aren't lying. Some people just can't comprehend that in their head. Some people take WAY too much offense to the truth. That doesn't mean that the 4g63 owner thinks that they are a better person or that the 420a cars are total junk. It means what it is, that the 4g63 cars are set up better for performance and will 99 percent of the time be faster for the same amount of money.

The title of this thread was which is better, it isn't just 4g63 guys randomly backing at this point. IT was meant to be a debate from the instant it was started. Don't get bent out of shape when the fact's start rolling in.

Did I ever state the 4g's weren't superior? Not getting bent out of shape, just calling it as I see it, that's all. I can handle the truth. But the 420a isn't a bad setup for turbo application like all the 4g guys say it is.... Either platform can be as fast as the person building it wants to make it..... Period. Is one easier to make power with than the other? Yes.

I agree with you 100 percent. I agree that the turbo 420a is a good engine if built right. I think a lot of the bad opinions about turbo 420a's comes from all the slow setups out there running ebay turbo's and fmu's. Dsm's in a whole get a bad name because of people being cheap and not doing things correctly.

Someone please close this thread.

It has nothing to do with people thinking that they are better are more cool. It's all about facts for the most part. Can the 420a be made fast, sure, can it be made faster than a gst or gsx for the same amount of money, not likely.

<------ I think this route when done, will be cheaper and faster bang for the buck than 420a or gst when the work is done by the owner. More modern engine with a simpler wiring, hmm 420a car so cheaper insurance.

Yes, talk about a motor that can put some spank down..... I had an '05 srt and that thing ripped with hardly anything done to it. I was pulling a low 12 on the stock turbo...... Sold it before I really did anything to it though, wanted to focus more on my 420a....
Btw, did you see the Darrel Cox threw a 420a head on his srt?

I want to add, the title of this thread is: 420A: turboed 420a vs factory gst
A stock turbo 420a will spank a factory gst. fact.

With the same turbo, same boost level and same mods it isn't likely that the 420a will spank the gst. I would love to see some facts and dyno sheets to back this up.

What factory turbo? The NSRT4? Becuase that's 100% irrelevant in this forum. The OP was talking about "spanking" a GST with a boosted 420a DSM. If you want to compare the SRT4 to a 4g63 of it's production date/price range, you would have to compare it to an Evo. Which is once again a superior platform. Not by opinion or over estimated numbers, it is fact.

As for 12's stock...

Nonsense. All of it.

BS on 12s in your SRT and there is nothing factual about your last statement. You are part of the problem with the 420A crowd. ROFL

As pointed out.. you never find threads started by 4G6x owners specifically looking to debate, call out or even discuss the 420A.
