Turbo upgrade options?

Hey all,
I'm currently installing my FMIC with all the piping and i noticed all the oil my turbo is leaking. Also in the stock pipes there is oil indicating a turbo seals are bad.
I could have this rebuilt, but what fun would that be? I have the stock t25. I would like to know what exactly i should look for in a new turbo.

I was hoping to purchase one on monday if i can find one.
My budget is $250-ish
Is this a t3/t4 turbo or? and can i get an exteral wastegate for future upgrades?
Would appeciate some advice from someone who knows a thing or two so i don't end up upgrading my turbo twice.
I understand that 250 is not a lot, maybe show me what you recommend. I am really not looking to buy a 16G turbo. I want something bigger than stock with noticeable difference, and with little lag IF possible.

get a 14b turbo from a 1g little lag and more power and can be found cheap u will need a jpipe .when u find a new turbo check for play in the shaft in and out and side to side if its tight u should be good .

14b is what i have been researching. I am curious of how they mount in and WHY they need the J-pipe? and i just bought my FMIC without that stupid jpipe and what kind of parts will i need to order with the 14b turbo for a complete setup? new oil lines and such, any new gaskets?

Is this turbo a T3 Or T4? the t25 that is

they just bolt up the same .the j pipe is for turbo to connect to the intercooler pipes. u need the turbo with both oil lines and j pipe thats all u need and just bolts in just have to change 1 ic pipe.

Just looked at cx racing...and a 16g turbo new is only $300

What all would i need to include in this purchase as far as install componets?
and that 16g from cxracing would be a good reliable turbo?

you want to stay away from ebay turbos, look for used turbos on the classifieds here or on craigslist. ebay turbos are hit or miss..

hmm. i would go for one of those dsmtuners used turbo's... btw... what ya gonna do with that blown t-25? if the wheels are in good condition i might take it off yer hands to rebuild since mine got completely chewed in my car, i am broke. but work at a shop where i can rebuild it fairly cheap. it is hard to rebuild chewed wheels tho.

I would also recommend a 14b with your budget. You will need a j-pipe to connect to the intercooler piping like said above, "if you want to see pictures a 14b is setup the same way as a 16g so pictures shouldn't be hard to aquire.."

If you want to do it right your gonna need,
-4 layer exhaust manifold gasket
-6 or 7cm turbo to manifold gasket, "depending on what type of turbo you get and if its ported to 7cm. This will most likely be 6cm."
-I would recommend a ss oil feed line that will work with any mitsu. 14b or 16g turbo. "At the very least you will need a feed line from the 14b.
-14b oil return line&Gaskets, Either get this used or new.. You can also get aftermarket return lines for 14b/16g turbo's but its not necessary.
-New water lines would be a plus but I belive you can make the ones work from the t-25.
-New banjo bolts and crush washers for the water lines. "2bolts and 4crush washers."
-J-pipe gasket
-J-pipe
-Might as well order new throttle body gaskets and an o-ring aswell because there known to leak.

Don't forget to prime the turbo before starting the car.

just wanted to say i have never had a problem with ebay turbos you get what you pay for just do some shopping around on local forums for a 14b.
