i was just wondering about the puple wire on my greddy turbo timer....dose it have to be connected to the ECU or no b/c im not sure and i was wondering wut the grey wire was for???

hmm it depends on the turbot imer.. IF the purple wire is for the "special" features that the turo timer has than you dont need to connect that wire, but you will not get to use those features... but you will need to read the manual of the turbot imer as it shoudl tell you what each wire is for.

Also on my HKS turbo timer the grey wire was for the E-Brake.

I think your right the only wires that are important atleast to me any way is the ebrake wire and harness itself. But if you have the same greddy TT as me then i dont think you need it if im thinkin of the right wire.

Im not sure what greddy tt you have but on mine I had a brown and purple accesory wires, the purple went to the vehicles speed sensor on the ecu and the brown went to the e-brake (so the car shuts off if the ebrake is depress when the key is out)

Yes, the purple wire is for the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) on the ECU wire port 86 (which might be the colored wire Yellow on Yellow with a Silver stripe for 2g) while the brown wire is for the Parking brake, there is one wire to the brake (Black for 2g under the cup holder, simply pull the entire set). I just wired everything up last weekend. The test portion is in the english instructions at greddy.com.

I hope this helps you out, because it did for me! :thumb:
