Turbo Timer help

So ive searched the forums with no luck. I need to know which turbo timer i need to buy. Im looking at the HKS Type-0 and either the JDM spec or the US-spec. I dont know which one to buy.

do you really need a turbo timer, are you running an oil cooled only turbo?

I don't know if i need it now since im running a stock turbo. Though in the future i plan to upgrade to a 16G big turbo.
