turbo stops making boost at 10psi!!

Was wondering if anyone could help me in figuring out why my turbo only makes 10 psi. I have NO exahust leaks. I even disconnected the vacum/manifold pressure line from the actuator and the max the turbo makes is 10 psi.

Is it a bad actuator? spring is 10psi.

Did you just install a mbc? It's possible you hooked it up wrong.

yup its a mbc. I double checked it, but ill triple check now. Im pretty sure its on right though. :thumbdown

From looking at your profile, where's your old mbc? try putting that one back and see what happens.

What kind of Wastegate are you using on this setup?

I had a failed wastegate actuator that will not boost past 10 psi also. I installed a FP 17psi wastegate actuator and It does exactly whaT IT SAYS!!! IT IS ADJUSTABLE A WHICH WILL HELP IN SETTING A MAX BOOST. I HAVE MINE SET AT 19 PSI WITH NO SPIKING.

THIS MAY NOT FIT A T/3/T4, but it is worthy for a stock turbo.

thanks for your help guys. We must all do one thing when we encounter problems on these cars, CHECK FOR BOOST LEAKS!! I know I know thats what were always told to do but I didn't and when I did I fixed my problem. I am not boosting 14psi
