Turbo Specs

The only thing I read was the 18g specs (since I was trying to compare it to the evo III 16g). I didn't read any of the other specs. I apologize if I supplied the wrong info. Their info on the evo 16g's matched the ones from SlowboyRacing. Since now I know that some of the info is wrong, would I be correct in assuming the 18g isn't going to show any noticeable difference from the evoIII 16g? The specs seem very very close to one another, and isn't as big of a difference as from the 16g to the big16g or evo III 16g.

LoL the 14B pushs out 405CFM the T-25 is 250CFM  Dont believe everything you see/read online

I don't know where everyone on this site got the notion that the T-25 only pushes 250cfm while the 14b, which is slightly larger, pushes 60% more air. I encourage you to check out this VFAQ link which lists the major Mitsu turbos and their cfm's:
http://www.vfaq.net/DSM/mods/10faqA.html

Notice the TDO4-9B, which is the stock turbo on the twin-turbo V6 engine in the 3000GT/Stealth, pushes 265cfm. If you've ever seen that turbo, the T-25 is a giant in comparison. So, there's no way in hell that the T-25 pushes 15cfm less!

Unfortunately, there is hardly any info online that I can find regarding cfm for a T-25. There are a few figures floating around, most of which fall around 325cfm.

This is why I think the 18G is junk (beat a few 18G powered DSM's with my small 16G powered GSX). Flow characteristics are nearly equal and the B16G spools a hell of alot better. Unless you like the spool of a 20G and the pull of a S16G, I say go with the B16G.

What are you on crack OMG The TD05H turbine wheel is HUGH compared to the T-25. This is what gives the 14B so much more topend then the T-25. Have you ever heard of a T-25 hitting 11's on boost alone...i didnt think so. Now how you ever heard of a 14B hitting 11's on boost alone...yes (ArticTSi and few others). Why do you think the people go to the junkyards and swap the 14B with T-25. Sure the compressor wheel isnt that big on the 14B but thats why gives it the quick spool up. The power is in the Td05H turbine wheel

I am in no way arguing the gains you can get going from the T-25 to the 14b. What I am saying is that the 250cfm number for the T-25 that gets thrown around on this site seems way off. If we go with 325cfm for the T-25, the 14b's 405cfm is still a good 25% more, which is a big improvement.

I haven't seen any thread that gives a good reason for this 250cfm rating. Granted, the vfaq link I posted above doesn't prove any of its airflows, but it lists many Mitsu turbos in increasing size, and the cfm's make sense relative to each one. Not to mention that it lists the value that everyone uses for the 14b.

I'll again bring up the 9b turbo. There are two of them on the 3000GT/Stealth V6 twin-turbo, a 3.0L engine. So, each 9b is powering 3 cylinders with a total of 1.5L. It's rated at 265cfm. Everyone is just going to go along with this notion that the T-25, which was picked by Mitsubishi engineers to power 4 cylinders at 2.0L total and at a peak of ~12psi, has less airflow? I don't think so.
