Turbo shot?

only took me a year to get access cus i hadda wait till i was in college to get a non free e-mail but yay!.

So recently i put headers on my car. after babying the car and hitting like 5k i heard a nasty noise and now my car sounds like shit and doesnt move anymore. The turbo gauge will go up however i get no boost, the car will sparatically get boost and be all choppy driving if i floor it, its not just like regular lag. The turbo shaft does play slightly but it could be normal. i was thinking maybe its the wastegate. I also hear what appears to be a slight grinding, either from the turbo or the left cylinder.

Its just all bad and ive already started TRYING to get the turbo off to rebuild it but since its a major pain to get the 4 bolts off, im gunna wait for suggestions.

anyone else ever have this problem. i dont see any place where the boost could be leaking.

also anyone know where to get a silver 97-99 front bumper my car is a 95. also i need headlight wireing converters? anyone know if thats true? where to get em

Have you checked for shaftplay and done a boost leak test?

How about filling our your profile so we know what's in the car?

From what you're describing you ran something through the turbo and at the turbine or compressor blades or maybe even both. Take it off and see if anything's chewed up. If you can't seem to get the bolts loose, soak them repeatedly in PB Blaster and warm the motor before attempting to remove them.
