Turbo shopping is a nightmare, help!!

Ok this isnt a "what turbo should I get" thread.and yeah... i searched before posting

Im just having trouble, not choosing, but finding a turbo i want without spending my bank account on a custom built one.

I cant find a turbo i want (in the neighborhood of 56trim or 60 trim .63 or sligtly more a/r and about a 76 trim hot side wheel without the internal gate trash turbine housing (sorry i just dont want the internal gate housing) . i need a v clamp 02 housing/turbine housing... NO "flapper door" wastegate block off plate junk.

NO ball bearing (waiste of money... we have instant ball bearing in a 10 lb bottle)

however i do want a twin scroll (split pulse) turbine housing. Aside from that being a hard option or inexpensive option, its useless without an = length 4-2 tubular manifold... wich all i seen is 4-1 = length tubular manifolds in my past 5 days of net searching and manufacturer emailing/ calling. But if i cant get a split pulse manifold (4-2 rather than 4-1) and a split pulse turbine housing, oh well... have to bump up fuel and the "jets". but if im paying 600.00 for a manifold why cant they separate cyl 4 and 2 from 1 and 3... all it is is a peice of metal more or less but it has to match the turbine housing... maybe its all "pipe dreams" (no pun intended)

anyways... manifold, turbo, 02 housings and wastegate... 2000.00 give or take a couple hundred... can it be done?

Forget the twin scroll housing.

Just get an FP30 and a good tubular header.

= length does'nt = much on a turbo engine. Increased exhaust flow does. Since the = length manifolds don't have that hard 90* turn for each cylinder and a real collector they flow alot more efficiently.
 
well here are a few reasons i want = length:
spool up time due to an equal exhaust pulse as opposed to a more "sloppy" pulse coming from all 4 so long as the turbine housing is twin scroll

better cooling
weight
stainless steel won’t rust
no cracking like the mickey mouse 2g manifold and some other cast iron tanks
looks (haha)
no porting needed at the turbine end

anyways, the whole twin scroll idea is not as important as the internal gate block off problem... i can do without the twin scroll, sure. Like i said... ball bearing in a bottle. If im worried that much about spool up then i would get a BB turbo but twin scroll seemed like a cheaper alternative at first. supposedly its a big difference according to forced induction books ive read/reading however i havent seen any real proof.
anyways #1 problem is the O2 housing/turbine housing not having any kind of internal setup what-so-ever. v clamp or even bolt on withOUT the flapper door blockoff

i overlooked your "fp 30" comment... sorry. i was checkin this out before and i have yet to call up fp and ask about that one... ive tried sbr and agp etc etc but it looks like thats the one we want

The FP30 series turbochargers are some sick turbos, but we're looking to go standard bushing not ball bearing. I don't know how familiar you are with AGP Turbo systems but their RS60/65 turbos have impressive flow rates. We don’t mind shelling out a few extra bucks for a twin-entry turbine housing and a nice SS =Length Tubular exh/man. That would yield very impressive spool times. Not quite the spool of a ball bearing, but a hell of a lot cheaper. The exh/man is already running in the $500.00 range so a few pennies there for a twin-entry exh/man would be in the budget.

That is partly true. The benefit you have when going twin-entry, is this. The exhaust hitting the turbine wheel is much more consistent allowing for a smoother boost gain. Cyl 1&4's exhaust pulses will not interfere with Cyl 2&3's exhaust pulses. And a result of the dedicated volutes is less turbulence in the turbine and manifold. Overall twin-scroll takes better advantage of the car's natural displacement. There are no negative views of this, in my eyes at least.

As 1gTURD said we really like the FP3065 and FP3052. We would both prefer the standard busching like I was saying. Just to save a few bucks, but if things with the twin-entry doesn't come through FP30 series is where we will be looking next.

Haw :D ... Actually I got that term from this slob out in Denver. She liked getting double stuffed with a dildo. Whatever gets your jollies I guess. hahaha jk.

Just interested in learning more about the in's of turbos, and then some. I would also like to know how wrong my setup is. OMG

If you want to learn the in's of turbos so to speak check out Turbochargers by Hugh McInness. Pretty straight forward turbocharger facts book. Heres a few turbos you may want to check out.

AGP Turbos check out the RS Series Standard Bushing chargers
Forced Performance their FP30 Series BB turbos are frightening. Green/Red are respectable too.
Slowboy Racing their GT series turbos are pretty sweet if you have the option of getting a v-band clamp turbine housing.
