Hello everybody. Well, first of all, i will say that i´ve been doing a lot of research lately, ´cause i´m new with DSM´s and i´m getting mine in approx one week. I´m a little bit confused about my selection of turbo, ´cause this is my first big proyect and i really want to make it right the first time, planning as much as i can. I also know that it´s not going to be easy at all to get the power and ETs i'm looking for, but i'm almost sure i can get it with a lot of work (and well spent money). Well, thanks for everyone in advance. I looked over the net for a while now to get a good turbo, and i'm trying to decide which one to buy that can give me at least 450 hp (maybe 550 or 600hp tops w/race gas). This is with ALL OF THE SUPPORTING MODS it needs (cams, forged pistons, maybe rods, FMIC, all fuel, etc.). Also, it is important to say that it will be my daily driver, so i really don't want to go to school/work/home without boost. I plan on tuning it to drive on pump gas, which is 91 octane around here (the best gas...yeah, i know it sucks...), of course i will throw in race gas every once in a while, but most time 91 oct. I know it will be a litlle laggy, but i want to keep it really streetable. I think a BB turbo will work better for me, and i'm willing to pay for it, but i wanted to know all your opinions before i do.
These are my current options: Garrett GT35R, GT3076R, FP Green, FP 3052 or 3065, or SBR baby kahuna. ANY opinions/suggestions and advice is REALLY, REALLY APPRECIATED. Ride is a 97 gst A/T. Also if someone can give me some feedback on the dejon powerhowse "race" FMIC kit, it´ll be great. Thanks again.
 
pte 60-1 would do the job. fp green might, it's just a 50 trim. the fp turbos are popular and well liked among dsmers. garrett gt35r is nice, probably nicest. Automatic will hold you back a little, just have to buy a shiithouse full of auto tranny upgrades. Most people will probably tell you to go with the FP turbos. As for the dejontool race kit, I have it and I love it. Great FMIC, well worth the money.
 
Yeah, sure, meth injection would be great too. I heard there is a good kit from snow performance, i just haven´t seriously consider it until now. wouldn´t it be a little unpractical to fill the botlle of alky solution very often? I just want it to be pretty streetabe, so i can boost comfortably in my daily driving without knock. Yeah, i thought that the GT35R was good because it´s bigger than the average turbo, but since it's ball bearing, i think it would spool up a little quiker than the green or 50 trim. Correct me if i´m wrong.

I think any PTE turbo would be good. The turbos hat they make are very well put together, and they use garrett parts. You can not go wrong with that. The other turbos that you were askng about are great turbos as well. I would go over a 60 trim, if I were trying to get to were you are going.
And, the meth. injection is the best bang for your buck. There are no down falls to it. The stuff is cheap and it works.

By the way. The 60-1 or the 61 for PTE would get you were you trying to go.
 
I don't know much, but i think that a 60-1 would be a little too big for a daily driver, am i wrong?
I'm really considering getting the GT35R, but i will think about every turbo listed above.
Are there any con's of getting the 35r?
