ok first of 14b turbo...
heres what i notice it doing...
1. blueish/white smoke on ildle (low smoke)
2. same smoke when slowly moving (little bit less smoke)
3. lots of smoke whiteish blue when they turbo starts spinning (lots of smoke)

So i just bought this car from my grandma 1991 eagle talon tsi awd 5 speed (everything on it is stock), and it sat for about 1 1/2- 2 years. Um my dad drove it last and said it never smoked. When me and my step dad pulled it out we coasted down the hill and he turned around and it was jerking really hard back and forth. so we got it on the car trailer brought it home put a new battery into it and it dove alot better was smooth driving only smoking. Now its sitting in my garage with the turbo ripped out of it. So im thinking i might try to find a new turbo if i gata. Or maby you guys might have a good idea of the problem maby O-ring in turbo? there is no shaft play with the turbo its a very clean 14b. thanks.:talon:

Your pvc is at the top left of your valve cover it will need a wrench to remove it, once removed shake it and you hear it rattlin its good, or just replace it, thier pretty cheap.
THis is the easiest one to check if you are getting oil smoke. Hopfully it corrects your problem. If not it could be a list of things.

Sounds a lot like valve seals to me. Basically the turbo would be a possibility but they do not fail all of a sudden on a stock setup. Now when you did drive it or just start it up did it smoke more or less at start up or after running a bit?

ok so i looked inside the exhaust manifold and its all clean. um ya when i start it up it does not smoke. i can sometimes even let it sit there running for a while with no smoke then it i rev it up a little it will start smoking when i rev. then after about 10 mins it smokes non stop

That screems of a piston ring problem. If it was you pcv it would happen most after boosting or even while boosting. If your turbo seals are blown then the smoke would be equal to that of an M1A1 Abrahms laying a smoke screen. I know we had this problem. Have you done a compression test?

Blow really hard into the intake of the hotside and see if it spins? I am able to do that with my s16g. It barely spins but it starts to at least. Did the car build any boost even if it was running like crap?

i agree....compression test....10 minutes to do, well worth it........

(...would help to learn how to use the SHIFT key once in a while..like the rest of us do..) First off: if it sat around that long, did you per chance on thinking of doing an oil change right from the get-go? If she was a slow driver, it was prob all full of carbon with plugs needing changing out - and the turbo is in excellent condition since there is very little shaft play.
