Does anyone have any solutions for installing a Turbo Primer? I have a 91 Galant VR-4 and I have heard that the first thing that will go on these is the turbo, as is it will be dry starting whenever I turn it over. Is this true or am I being over cautious?

Glad I re-read that. I read it as "Turbo Timer".

A "Primer" I've never personally used. I've also never had an issue with turbos' failing due to 'dry' starts...Almost as soon as you start turning an engine over, oil begins moving and lubricating. The split second or two that you don't have pressure, the engine is still coated with a film. If you're worried about this you think you'd be more worried about piston rings, bearings, and other such things that are without oil pressure during engine-starting conditions. ;)

I agree. I'm pretty sure that as long as you had oil pressure and or water pressure running through the turbo that it should stay pretty well lubricated for the next start up. As long as its not sitting forever of course.

If im right these, turbos ar 13b turbos. The reason most of these go out is time, miles and over boosting. If they sieze due to lack of oil, that usually means you have a clogg in the system. If it were me, I would upgrade to a 14b turbo or 16g turbo. But they may come stock with the 14b already, I'm not 100% sure. I would check specs on what you have.
