Hi everyone, i just bought a used 7 bolt 4g63 motor that i plan to rebuild over this summer and hopefully be able drop in before july. I plan to do a budget build and the current goal is 375 whp running on premium fuel.
*Current Build Goal*
-Eagle rods
-Mahle Pistons
-Cometic MLS Head gasket
-ARP Head Bolts
-Stock head / Port - polish ect
-Stock TB and Manifold
-FMIC
*Boost goal is 16-24 psi*(for now
)
Now my turbo questions are
-If i boost over 16psi will i need a higher flow fuel pump and bigger cc injectors?
-If i do stay at/under 16psi due to current budget will i see significant gains just by doubling stock psi?
and is this the right? HP goal 375, AFR 14.7, BSFC .55
Airflow = (375*14.7*.55)/60 = 48.13 lbs/min
Manifold pressure = (48.13*639*(460+120)) /.90*(6500/2*122) = 49.9psig
Boost Pressure = 49.9 - 14.7 = 35.2psi actual boost needed?
i guess what im concerned about is this meaning that i will not be able to achieve my 375hp goal without boosting more than my 24psi goal? also im unsure of how to use the provided info to pick the appropriate turbo based on its map.
what im looking for is a quick spooling turbo that has the quick pulls at low speeds and rpm up to cruising speeds.
Please suggest anything / comment / point me in the right direction, on anything that im missing or should upgrade based on my hp goal / acceleration goal ...ect
