Hey folks i installed a stock turbo setup into my 97 eclipse gs spyder. Everything is good with 2 small issue. It seems like when i shift gears and let of the gas after like 2800 rpms i get a fluttering sound in my intake. I'm not retarded and know what a bov does, but my gsx never did this so i'm a bit confused is this normal? Also i'm running super rich and when i come to a a stop or say i push in the clutch in 3rd or 4th gear the car will stall. I'm working on two things i thought it might be but no luck. I thought it was either the knock sensor or the top o2 sensor but they appear to be ok. Any ideas? I am so frustrated right now. Here is my setup.

97 eclipse gs spyder 2.4ltr man. transmission
tdo4hl turbo
2g ported manifold
stock turbo exhaust
98 gsx turbo ecu
side mount intercooler

it seems like for what i have i'm lacking some power big time. i can burn threw first gear, but second gear and on while in full throttle it just seems like a real dog.

is the hook up stock? you didnt change anything? you are recirculating and the BOV is post MAS? Do you have wideband or anything to tune with? Rich condition usually means post MAS leak, but you never know. Also, you have the resistor pack wired in, right? Do you have the fresh air line routed back to the intake?

TD04L - isnt this the 13g turbo? If it is, then you hit full boost by 2200 rpms. And your BOV may be louder because the turbo is pushing more air at lower rpms because of the larger displacement

can you post some pictures of the engine bay, if you dont mind

with the exception of sohc yes this is a stock setup. only thing diffrent is a after market alum. intkae and hard uicp. resistor pack is hooked up fine. the turbo is off of a rvr engine in japan the turbo is a td04hl 13t. only hook up i have returning to the intake is the bov and the breather hose from the valve cover. the turbo is vaccum may be my issue i have it going from the nipple of the turbo actuator to the j pipe? is that right or should i have it going to the intake?

so, yeah you get full boost by 2200 rpms, which is ok. The noise in the intake is fine, I mentioned why in my first post. Your setup is correct and the wastegate actuator nipple is hooked up correctly - j pipe works just fine. Do not hook it to the manifold or anything, it needs to be as close to the turbo as possible. You need a wideband to see what is up with the AFRs. the ECU is getting confused with that early boost or something and you may be getting some creep because i believe the 13t has 5cm housing and the o2 housing is probably small.
