Turbo flange thinkness

I have a ton of 3/8" stock, can I get away with making a t3 flange from that and run high boost from my hy35?, or should I invest in a 1/2" t3 flange?
I see tons of 3/8" flanges for sale.

id suggest the 1/2" flange just because the 3/8th flange might warp.
