Turbo fitment issue

Hey guys, been a long week of tearing down and building up.
Im upgrading my 99 gsx from the old e16g to a sbr gt12.

The problem i ran into was the exhaust manifold will not fit flush to the block. Problem causing this issue was the the big cooling tube along the front of the motor, i dented it just enough so the turbo would fit more flush, but then i got to about just shy of an 1/8th of a inch away give or take and it stopped again, i looked and the big banjo bolt to the turbo coolant line behind the turbo was in the way.

SO my question is, in order to get proper fitment can i remove this line, plug the hole and T off of another coolant line or other coolant accesable fittings in the bay in order to keep coolant circulating throught the turbo.

I would not recommend blocking off that coolant passage to the turbo. What exhaust manifold are you using? I would either get a 1/2 spacer to go in between the head and manifold or pick up a fp manifold that angles the turbo away from the block more.

no not block off to the turbo. I mean block the hole in the block and hook the line from the turbo to another coolant supply.

If i can remove the fitting and hose that goes to the turbo from the block and screw a bolt all the way in the block it should gimme enough room to fit flush.

Then take the coolant line from the turbo and hook it up somewhere else.

Oh the manifold is a fabricated mitsu to looks exactly like the ones that that company south florida something.. heres a pic

Get a spacer and loger studs or just use bolts.

Edit you could either get a spacer for the head side or the turbo side and/or both.
