What are the pros and cons to an oil filter on the turbo feed line. I will be running a GT35R from Forced Performance and the feed line they recommend for it is filterless. I was wondering though if it would be a good idea. Anyone have any insight?

There are three things to consider when getting an inline filter for BB CHRA. 1 is catching the dirt before it gets in the center section. 2 is once you catch all the dirt remember to clean your filter and 3 is the filter has a built in restrictor to bring down oil pressure to operating levels for a BB turbo. Too much oil pressure will get by the seals and too little oil will starve the turbo.

What he said..getting the filter for my FP3065.I will just remember to clean it.They do sell the filter..

Very good, thanks all. Is there any reason people choose NOT to run the filter with a high dollar BB turbo setup? Seems like a no-brainer, cheap investment to extend the life of it, yet have seen many people not use an inline filter? Why?

I have never found anything in my filter when I have cleaned it. If you have a spottless engine and are confident of this you can forego the filter and need not worry.

Yeah the only downfall of it is that if you do have dirt and grim in the motor, it could clog the filter and not send the right amount of oil to your turbo. Just make sure to clean it as often as possible.
