Sorry for the noobie questions guys, but I've looked around and couldn't find any definate answers. First off, I need to know for sure what power plant I have. It's a 1993 Eclipse GS Non-turbo and so far I am leaning towards the engine being a 4g63. I have also read about a 420? anyone out there able to tell me quickly what I have and what the difference between the two is? I am guessing the 420 is the 1.9 litre?

Also, I am looking to do some upgrades with my car, starting out with a turbo. I am figuring it would be easiest to get a turbo 4g63 to start out and swap it with my motor. I'm not sure how easy this will be, but it seems pretty self explanatory. Also, what other things would I need besides the block and turbo? I am guessing i can just switch with a stock turbo ECU and hopefully the tranny is still the same ( 5-speed man). Any info is greatly appreciated, esp. if you have a turbo motor for sale!
Thanks,
Jepherz

Yep. You have a 4g63 n/a. Cool. The 420A is a Chrysler (read Neon) 2 litre DOHC (just like ours).
On the swap, what are your power/driving goals? It may be more practical to start with an AWD car, which has more traction than your FWD. Look into what you want, then buy/build accordingly.
