so i take the head with the bent valves to the shop tomorrow. the guy has done alot fo work for me in the past and is going to "assist" me on the prices of some stuff, but not the labor. im curious what the people who have done this or know this think... im considering pulling the pistons and rods and just honeing the cylinders, new pistons(cause the old ones were slightly kissed), and total seal rings. i can pull the engine, but i just really dont want too. and on the head i was thinking of b.c. complete head setup with the 272 cams and stock size valves. id imagine that everything will hold up to stock or a little more boost and the occasional abuse pretty well with a mls head gasket, but im not sure about the rings fully sealing. but if im gonna change out the clutch in it also should i just yank the block and have it machined too? i really just wanna get it done cause the tracks open next weekend and i dont want to be late!
