Turbo chart, I need info to complete and corrections

Just a question. I am looking at the ETE32 for my car this fall/early winter. Why is it that the Frank level 4 is claimed to flow 750 CFM and good for an est. 570 horse power, and the ETE32 is also claimed to flow 750 CFM but is "Only" rated for 440 hp? I do think I remember reading that the ETE32 is rated at 460 WHP but thats beside the point. What I am asking is, why is it that both turbos are rated at 750 CFM but ones horsepower rating is so much higher? Is the frank 4 really THAT much more efficiant? Or are you compaiing the ETE32's wheel horses to the Frank 4's crank horse power? Maybe I'm just a newbie, but I just don't understand. Hopefully someone will be able to help me with this.

I dont have the answer but I got the numbers from ...

turbotrix
"The Frank Level 4 turbo has the 3" inlet on the compressor housing similar to the Level 3 but uses a larger 60 trim Garrett wheel and the same TD06 turbine wheel. This turbo will flow 750cfm and is rated for 570hp."

As for the ETE32 the whp came from DSM-Performance

"Very quick spool-up and capable of producing up to 460HP at the wheels with the proper supporting mods and tuning!"

and the flow numers came from jdmawd

I hope someone can answer your question because I am also curious as to the big difference in hp with the same cfm.

maybe ... websites are not very specific on which is which ... WHP or CHP .. this could explain the 20% difference between the two turbos..

I wish they would all be in crank HP because of the difference between FWD and AWD drivetrain loss.

Yeah thats true. I wanted to get a turbo from extreme but I just got it from mach because it was the same one. The prices are hiked up aolt because at Mach they add the max instal kit without an option to chose not to. Extreme give you the option. Thats why they are more expensive. The Alpha is almost the same as an ETE32, thats what extreme said and I order stuff from them all the time. It has a few less bells and whistle/ i guess but all in all its the same
