turbo cams bigger than N/T?

The other i got urbo cams on ebay. they are from a turbo awd tsi. i used a micrometer because i had a weird feeling that they were wrong. they ended up being the same lobe height. i was reading the haynes manual and it said that mt turbo cams were the same size as mt n/t cams. is this true. i have heard of many people putting turbo cams and they say that they really felt a difference and that they are a great upgrade for n/t cars.

by the way, ditch the haynes manual and get a factory service manual if you're serious about working on your dsm. the haynes just won't cut it after long.
