turbo bolting

16g turbo to manifold threads are messed up. if i don't want to rethread it, can i just get a stud and tighten it with two nuts on the top and bottom with washers?

IMO I would just re thread them and put bolts/washers at the same heat rating as oem to prevent breaking bolts and exhaust leaks

wouldn't it be the same thing though if i get same heat range bolts and nuts?

It wouldnt be a tight fit as a bolt that was tapped for. You would be using a smaller bolt/nut it could cause problems in the long run. If anything I have learned with my car......is to do it right the first time because it always comes back to bite ya

Nuts and bolts are fine. My last evo3 hit 30 psi no problems with them. And if they get stuck, you can just break them in half and not have to drill anything out afterward.
