So there's a good deal on a 97 talon tsi awd down here but its an auto. I have never had an auto before but I think this would be good for winter

So here is my question, if the automatic doesn't lose boost between shifts, when would the BOV go off?

The BOV blows off when you let off the gas.

Well you dont lose boost between shifts so that is better. I would prefer the gas let off thing anyway, seems like a change

If your primary interest is in hearing the BOV, we might suggest you shop for a car that starts with "H".

Five miles in an AWD DSM, regardless of the transmission type, will spoil you for any other cars. Most especially in winter.
