well what kinda car do you own? a 2g is a bit vague.... if its a GSX its a lot easier to get 12s... now also you looking to use nitrous or not? and are you looking to use slicks or not?

Most common DSMs use Greddy and HKS BOVs... they keep the pressure in nice, but most use the greddy since it can be recirculated easier....

Now for turbos....

You could possibly do it with a Big 16g, Evo 16g but it will require some nice tuning...

Then there is the big brother called the 20g which people have been known to run 11s and even 10s on. but some people hate the lag on this

or you could use a T3/T4 50 trim that will easily bring you into 12s and could bring you into 11s and with a lot of money you can run 10s.

The best daily driver turbo is probably the Evo 16g though but it will require you have a lot of tuning for your goals... and ofcourse all need supporting mods.

50trim all the way. I personally do not like Greedy BOV's because they like to leak. I stick to HKS, but they are not "noisy" when recic'd, I swear their quieter than stock.

the greddy type s leaks?? i see eclipse cars and theyhave the greddy type s, at what psi does it leak, i just order one

If GReddy was bad no one would buy it...

Seeing as how like half of the people here have one (sarcasm obviously). But a lot of people have them.

I would suggest to you:

FP BigT28-lightning fast spool up to get you out of the hole, 360hp potential that will get you into low 12s and stock look so no po-po.

Blitz DD BOV- I've seen/heard/ridden in a car with every major BOV on and prefered the form/function of this unit. Holds plenty of psi and is the cleanest sounding.

thanks a lot, i think my best bet would be the evo 16g and either an hks or tial bov....would the tial be overkill for mid 12 sec? i noticed in the other bov topic they're made more for bigger turbos

i was looking at big t28s are they pretty good for daily driven cars?i really like that you can bolt them on

I think that was the target audience, daily drivers with more power. Reference my last post for its capabilities.

Tial does make a nice BOV too, should work fine. Run that turbo at 18psi with supporting mods and you have one QUICK AWD street car. I still recommend the BLitz BOV....

Turbo-50trim
BOV-Tial or HKS (since everyone seems to think the greddy is bad... :( )

I swear to god man, you should make that fawkin thread a sticky. :thumb:

evo3 16g ported, ported exhaust manifold, hks ssq, tial 38mm wastegate on o2 housing, 3" exhaust turbo-back, 550cc, walboro 255hp, sbr fmic, k/n filter,2.5 inch intake tube, act2100 clutch, boost set at 25psi + awd = 12's , ohh and some performance tires.

Tuned, I think your little description running 25psi will cut high 11s in AWD trim.

I know I am 5 months late... but...

I've read almost everywhere.. "if you have a GST get a 2100, if you have a GSX get a 2600"

Will an ACT 2100 hold up with an EVO III 16G running at 25psi in an awd?
