Ok everyone. First off I have to say thank you everyone for helping me out to finally get my car running. It's been about a year and a half and I finally turned the car over the other day successfully. I got the car started by setting both swithes to the settings to start it up as listed on the instructions on the MAF-T (Base-2 AUX-0 since I'm a 1G running stock injectors for now) I finally purchased a datalogger kit as well so now I'm ready for tuning... except I have no clue what the heck I'm doing when it comes to logging and tuning. I can follow the instructions easy enough for the tuning but I'm not really sure how to datalog. Everytime I search for something its advanced logging and terms I really don't know. If anyone has a Dataloggers for Dummies link it would be great! I would think that a MAF-T with a Datalogger and a Wideband o2 should be a pretty damn good tuning set-up, but correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going to eventually do the DSMLink but not until next summer when I throw on the Holset with bigger injectors. I just wanna run with stock/mild upgrades efficiently right now with the MAF-T and Datalogger set-up. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance!!!!

with a 1g you are basically tuning for no knock, depending on your setup, and injector size id just tune for wot ..since you cant do much closed loop tuning with a maft

as in when i had my 16g setup up with 2g maf and 550cc injectors, its was pretty much 14.7:1 cruising spot on..

check out fullthrottletech.com for forum advice and just about anything you want to know about the translator set up. Its like the link forums just related to the gm maf and your dsm set up.

Yea I have all the stuff for the tuning using the MAF-T, I'm wondering how you use the datalogger, do you just hook it up and drive? Mine didn't come with any instructions. Do I need to install the program on my computer? How will I read how my car is performing along the whole rpm spectrum? I never logged anything in my life and so I'm popping my logging/tuning cherry all at once!
