I just bought my 91 Talon TSI AWD. not only my first DSM but my first sports car. The guy that had it before me took excellent care of it and put a butt ton of mods into it including a complete engine/trans rebuild/16G turbo and so on.

Before selling it to me, he did tell me that if I had it re-tuned that I could gain sufficient horsepower since he had done some mods since the car was last professionally tuned.

The car has a keydiver (jeff oberholtzer DSMChips.com | DSM ECU Chips Enchanced by Keydiver) chip in it and when I looked at the .bin file that details the tune settings, it mentions it was done by some one named neal rice.

So now my questions are these; do any of these names mean anything to the more experienced folks in here? can I take the car to any reputable performance shop to get re-tuned or do I need to get in touch with one of the guys that originally tuned it to make sure nothing is screwed up? am I better off letting the car go the way it is (which is fine but if there's more to get out of it, why not)?

the current settings according to the .bin file:
e931 825/6/awd..Octane Reset....No Fuel Cut.....Knock Gauge.....AC Cut 85%/3secs800 rpm idle....650 cc injectors264uS deadtime..1g MAFT.........hi spd clsd loop2x karman.......af cap gone.....pk code.........................Neal Rice

Please clarify of what you want answers too, tuning so air fuel, knock. How are you tuning it with got a wideband, logger, something?

it does have a wide band, however it doesn't do me much good. Like I said i am brand new to this. I'm not planning on attempting to tune it myself just yet but I'd like to have a better idea of where and who to take the car to.

If someone could also offer me where to go (internet or physically) to learn more I'd appreciate it.

The forums here on tuning, how to tonnes of information, you gotta start looking around for more specific ideas. For example what does the wideband do, what is knock, tuning in general.
