Tuning notes for Bosch 1600cc injectors (Ford, Chrysler)

Well if you can get it to run without surge I'll at least know where my problem is and I might end up getting rid of mine.

I think I should be shooting for a warm idle near 1000rpm and a cold idle near 1200rpm with these injectors.

Exams and moving are owning me right now but the car idles well and drives well on e85. Blew an intercooler pipe off at 24psi yesterday. So far the key to killing the idle surge I was having is getting timing to be relatively consistent. I'm relatively sure my deadtimes are quite accurate now but I'm still messing with injector scaling a bit because real AFRs are in the 12s when current target AFRs are in the 11s. low 12 AFRs are what I'm hoping for but I'd like my maps to match the real world.

Also I'm back to a stock idle speed and doing fine. I may increase it to make things more consistent but I wouldn't have to. Minimum IPW is 1.6ms on decel where it probably doesn't matter. I think if I fixed the 96530006 throttle hang it wouldn't even crop up but that is more effort than I am looking for right now and for my case throttle hang is relatively rare. Usually the minimum IPW at idle and light cruise is 2.01ms which makes me pretty happy and makes the fueling rate fairly linear.

Also I know I'm chasing my tail with a boostleak somewhere near the intake manifold because I can see it in logs but I don't have a compressor where I live and I can't get to my parent's house for a couple of weeks. SD means that the effects are limited but I'm afraid it is an injector seal which would throw off my VE settings and also effect an individual cylinder which will exacerbate idle surge and throw off results.

I just gotta say: After a 100 miles and a bit of idle/cruise/wot tuning the only thing i can nail down is wot. Idle is pretty good, cruise is bouncing form 13.5 -15.5. Could be a maf problem but i had pte 1000s on gas and they gave me no problems.
I AM on e85 as well. Im going to try the battery latency method you posted and see what i come up with. But im hitting 50lbs/min so this 2g maf needs to go.
SD coming soon. That still wont help idle or cruise just a side note.

These puppies are a bi*** to tune with.
I have a theory: They are like "mid-z" at 4.5-50ohms. Its in the middle and i would guess thats the cause of the problems. A good set of fic 2150s resistors deleted im sure wouldnt act up near as much on e85.
Then again, 650 vs 200 bucks.....
