Alright Guys im sorry i have to do this , but the connection im no is so slow its rather hard for me to browse threw the prev. posts.

And i only have a day to get this right

Im running a Ported e3b16g
3inch turboback
big fmic(shortroute)
550's
afrp
ported gt mani
walbro255
SAFC
Logger.

First On the Aeromotive FPR , Reccommended Base Pressure? 46? And to set with vacum on or off???

What should be the AFR On A. idle , B. Cruise , C. WOT

On idle I had SAFC set to -24 And i was still in the 11's on my wideband? This seems rather rich for the amount of fuel im taking out?

Im rather new to tuning so any help would be appericated

again im sorry for posting this , But i cant really search at my current location ( where my car is )

43psi, vacuum off.

It's going to be hard for you to set the idle AFR with a WBO2 because of the constant ECU adjustment. You really need a logger to look at the ECU's FT's.

Cruise AFR.....see idle AFR statement above.

At WOT you want to be in the neighborhood of 11:1, or so. Every car is different, so you should really go out and get yourself a logger so you can make sure you aren't knocking at 11:1. I would go a little richer until you get a logger, maybe something like 10.6:1 or so.

Anything's better than the stock 9.5:1 :thumb:

I do have a logger , As i said in my mod list , i will tune wot to around 11:1

I did a lot of reading lastnight , I will see if i can get this down.

Thanks for the reply though about the vacume =):thumb:

12's here i come.

Alright what the hell is going on ,

I get the fuel trims perfect , Go for a drive and all of a sudden im -24 ... Fix it again , back to -24, Its like the ecu is trying to compensate for what im doing...

You mean -24 on the SAFC or -24 on the logger??? I'm guessing the SAFC, because I think the 2g ECU caps the FT adjustment @ +-17 IIRC. I could be wrong, it's almost a year since I got the FT Malfunction CEL.

Most of your FT problems are going to be caused by your lack of an AFPR. How, exactly, did you set your FT's?

Once again , ihave a AFPR set to 43....

Dis connected battery ( reset ecu )

I started at -10 for 1k 2k 3k ( i have 550's )

Waited ,ST Fuel trim came to +4 ( 104 )

ok good... Took it for a ride watched logger , everything was smooth , Then bam -24

That calls for Leaning it out in the Tuning Guide. Leaned it out a few points , Same thing (104 )

Took it for a ride , Bam.... -24

Now at this point the logger is telling me to Lean , but my ears are saying no , and my wideband is pegged at lean wont even read so its 17/1 + AFR...

Im lost

Guys any help....

This is rediculous , I might just pull the injectors set and set everything to 0 on the safc.

I followed that exact guide , Step for step. The SAFC that i had purchased is defective , Thats the only thing that i came up with.

I took out the 550s and put the 450's back in , set everything to zero. Car still ran like ass , wich it shouldn't because at the point there was no modifaction to the fuel system. Unhooked the power to the safc , and reconnected the air flow(karmin) wire so that it was no longer being intercepted by the safc , and the car pured like a kitten.

So in conclusion the only thing i can think of is that the safc is defective.

Any other ideas?

maybe you just had a bad connection with the afc... i used to have connection issues and my car wouldnt even start. you might try to hook it back up, making sure that all connections are solid and see what happens... if it still runs like shit id say the AFC is definitely bad

Yeah i checked and double checked my wiring. I used to be an installer. So i know my soddering job wasnt bad.

Anyone know of anything wiring wise that can cause the safc to act like that?

I just want to make sure before i send it back

Not hooking up the grounds in the proper order (one has to be closer to the ECU than the other).

Forgetting to cut the MAS wire after tapping.

Not wiring up the MAS interceptor wires properly (wrong side of wire).

It could also be your SAFC settings.
