tuning a 90 AWD with 2G MAS and 550's

90 AWD 5 spd, 20G @ 17 psi, 2G pistons, 28X10X3 FMIC, SAFC, 2G MAS, 3000VR4 fuel pump re-wired, 550's, AFPR @ 37 psi, base timing at 5 deg BTDC, 92 octane fuel, outside air temperature 40 deg F. AFC hi settengs all +5

I could use a bit of advice to get me moving in the right direction.

Here are a few observations I have made.

1. The more fuel I add with the AFC the more knock I seem to get but my EGT's go down.

2. When I lean out the high end with the AFC I get less knock but my EGT's go up.

3. My 70 mph cruise EGT's are around 1350-1375 F

4. Do I need bigger injectors? I figure I would be ok at 17 psi but maybe not? If a 2G MAS evens out with 550's then maybe I really do need 660's?

5. Could my problem be related to the fact that my ECU is advancing the timing too much because of AFC settings? Do I need simply need 660s and an ECU modified to compenste for them?

6. Should I try to set the AFC to 0 correction for high end and use my AFPR to richen the car up to the correct AFR at WOT?

7. I have the following pocket logger, EGT, fuel pressure gauge, Cyberdyne, Boost/vac.

Remember...this is a 90 AWD and the O2's read lower than other 1G's. It may still be lean though. I try not to ever let the EGT's get over 1500F at WOT.

i would try and up the base fuel pressure to about 43psi and see what that does before going to bigger injectors.
