Hey everyone, I have recently Installed a 2g mass on my car and a set of pte 550's on my 1g in an attempt to cancell each other out I also have a 255 and afpr. My problem with this set up is that it runs rich on idle and lean in the high rpm's. my logger shows a reading of .94-.96v on o2 sensor and a ~40hz mass reading on idle. and the high rpm's my o2's are about .84-.86v and the hertz read about 25% lower than my 1g mass did (witch is normal) I have turned my boost down to stock because i was making knock if i turned it up. I know I need an engine management (I am saving up for a good one). My question is has anyone else heard of a problem simmilar? I would like to get my fuel trims higher (81) but if I lower the pressure, i will be to lean under boost. Any help is greatly appreaceated. :talon:

You need a chip or an AFC or both at least to control the injectors and get the IDCs decent. Saving up for a good tuning device was a good idea but you should have waited until you got the "good" tuning device before installing the injectors and mas.

I would lower the boost like you have and go easy on it, watch the logger for knock, just stay out of the rpms/boost you are knocking in. Maybe you should swap back until you are ready for the good tuning device. Get that good tuning device asap.

I would expect these problems without a tuning device the mas/injector combo is "close" but not enough in my opinion.

I definitly agree with what you say, you live and learn i guess. My big question is What are everyone's 2g mass's reading on idle in Hz (if you know)

Thanks for your input autorst.
For anyone willing to help me out, I have an S-AFC2 now and this problem still is occuring, it is rich on idle (safc = 50 hz) and while crusing, my fuel trims are @ 81. I have tuned the afc low throttle and high throttle, but i can't seem to get it right (car doesn't run right if i go too lean). I was wondering if my b.o.v is the problem, but I'm 100% positive that it is closed on idle.
My profile is current for my mods. Thanks
