Truck Turbo on DSM?

K my friend works at a truck shop and can get turbos.
SO last night he showed me a Garett turbo off a truck.
It looked like one that you can buy off any perofrmance turbo car.
It had a T4 flange for the manifold, 3" inlet for intake side and 3" exhaust side.
I already have a wastegate (tial) and would just need a manifold to hook it up.

Would a diesel and gas turbo be the same ? and would it be FINE too run one on a built DSM motor?

you should find specs for the turbo, it will most likely be too large for our cars (considering the turbos ive seen on turbo diesel pickups are gigantic) but if it is a small one and you are planning on going big it might work. Your best bet would be to post a pic of it and see if anyone is familiar with it.

ya i may just have to post a picture.
Its not the HUGE ones i seen before but its the same size as a T3/T4 turbo just off a truck i guess
