(not dsm) : What larger suv/truck to get?

It's time i need another car, a bigger one. here's the things im looking for

manual tranny available
4 doors, can carry atleast 4 people(w/ driver)
must be SUV/Truck
At or under $4,200

thats all i really care about, anyone have any opinions? My only idea was a Jeep cherokee as I dont think the grand cherokee is available in manual. Any help appreciated!

Well I don't know about trucks, but your more then likely not going to find an SUV in a manual, besides maybe a jeep, which I don't know if they offer anything besides the Wrangler in a manual.. I don't know what your using it for, but I don't believe your gonna have a real great truck/suv without tons of mile for 4200 bucks. They seem to hold value pretty good. Anyways... my .02 cents.

How about a Wrangler? I know its not 4-doors, but the back seats aren't that bad in them...then you'd have 4wd, stick, easily available, easy to work on, cheap, and a bad-ass winter car. Then in the summers, you can pop the top off and have a bad-ass summer car. If not, maybe you could find an old Bronco with a std transmission.

bought my isuzu rodeo a few years back for $3700 - has all the things you mentioned and i love it - i'm sure there are plenty available on ebay - also look for the honda passport, it's the exact same thing
