Hello all, woot my first post LOL. Alright here is my dilemma. I am considering what to get when it comes to tuning and data-logging. I want something that not only logs data in a reasonable fashion (i.e. visual charts or numbers that I can download to excel to make a visual chart), something I can monitor from my car along with plugging my cpu into and downloading the logged data, Horsepower and Torque readings are a definite must. I don't mind wiring anything into my ecu, but I would prefer something that just plugs in. Also this is a big thing, I needs to work with both Turbo and non turbo engines (420a and 4g63 or 420ant and 420at). If anyone out there has something like I'm describing share how you like it, and if you would recommend it as well. Thanks.

at the very least it needs to work for the 420a, but be able to deal with turbo and non turbo applications on a 420a

MegaSquirt is more of an EFI control module and I need more than just injection control, I need data maps of air flow, engine temp, horsepower + torque, etc. Any ideas?

Does Mega Squirt provide data-logging along with their fuel control?? I have been searching quite a bit and it seems this is never really talked about much or I am just completely oblivious to it. I just want to be able to tune my car and see changes in hp and torque by the changes I made via the tuner and manual tuning (i.e. new intake manifold, cams, N0S, etc). I really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Tuning Software

There are a few software applications to help you tune and configure your MegaSquirt.

* MegaTune - for tuning and data logging MegaSquirt® with a laptop computer running Windows 9x/ME/XP. In this manual we will assume you are using MegaTune. Development versions of MegaTune are here. (Eric Fahlgren),
* MegaLogViewer - A very handy program that displays your MegaSquirt® datalog files in graphical form. You can see the 'big picture' this way. (Phil Tobin)
* MegaTweak3000 - for refining your volumetric efficiency table from datalogged data from MegaSquirt-I, (Darren Clark),
* EasyTherm - to simplify configuring your MegaSquirt-I to accept the substitution of non-standard temperature sensors and to upload software revisions. (Roger Enns)
* MS Palm - to tune and datalog MegaSquirt-I with a Palm (Roger Enns)
