Back at this with new headlights. To answer some questions that were posted a few years ago, I got just the projectors (which go for 110 by themselves) for 60. Not the entire kit. I also cheap'ed out on ebay (xentec) Balasts and HIDS's. Which I've had good luck with them in the past using D2R Cutoff Adaptors (no annoying glare in reflector housings, like OEM cars do it) but for the D2R bulbs, they suck. They made the bulbs wrong so it doesn't fit right. Well it fits right but the bulb isn't deep enough in the housing and doesn't project light very well. My stock headlights next to them outshine them any day.

I'm about to cough up 150 bucks for some legit Philips Bulbs and some OEM Ballasts. I'm really sad, esp. since I no longer have headlights. One bulb kept flickering and shutting off, the other finally just quit after a week of use. Found the Ballasts were arcing between the wires... Very scary cause thats like a lot of high voltage.

I still don't have the Shrouds either so I'll pick those up when I get the bulbs. Since I also have the housing angled down a lot. IDK how cause I drilled a perfect hole in my headlights.

To everyone asking for how to's and whatever, It isn't hard. You don't really need a huge write up. This is not a full on retrofit. I however used the D2S/H4 Projectors which are direct bolt in to H4 Headlights, the Mini H1's were made for a direct replacement to your stock bulbs in any 1gb+ headlight. All you do is throw the headlights in the oven at low temps for a short while to weaken the glue and separate them. Take out the blockoff of the low beam and install the projector and re seal everything back up.

If you've been to kindergarten, then you can do this. Remember arts and crafts, yes its that easy. This is not some high tech mod. However decently priced. It is well worth it if you go all out and buy the full kit.

Also someone asked where were getting our OEM Headlights from. My headlights are Ebay OEM. They aren't as good as the legit OEM but if your going to do a retrofit, then they are 110% perfect for 80 bucks shipped. Other than that, Craigslist > Cities LOL.

Anyway, the moral of this post is... STAY THE FRAK AWAY FROM CHEAP SHIT! Good Day!

Thank you. I was skeptical about their kit. My lights I swear are the worst in any dsm. Especially lowered it just sucks. Since you have good luck with them. Ill look into it.

If you don't mind would you give a quick list of what parts you bought and what parts you wished you would of got.

Just buy the kit from TRS.

Personally, I'd go with the FX-R though, I find the performance much better then the Minis but the install is a bit harder. However it is worth it. Trust me, I've had 3 retros on my DSM.
