Headlight Retrofit help

Ive read through all the retrofit articles on this website and im just looking for a little help/opinions on what I should do. I have a set a projectors out of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. Im wondering if these are worth retrofiting or if anyone has used these before. I dont have any pictures of them now but I can get some. They use 1 bulb for both highs and lows. It looks like they have a moveable cut off line that moves when switching from low beam to high beam. Would it be easier to buy Ebay headlights and swapping these in there or do you think its too much work for these projectors? Any help or information would be great

Easier to use OEM lights imo, I've worked with both and the OEM is easier imo.

Your link isnt working for some reason, do you have another to something similar. About how much time do you think im looking at in putting these together and making them work. This will be my first retrofit.

Try quoting my post and pulling the link from it if the hot link doesn't work.
First time, I'm not sure it all depends on you. Some people do it in a day, others a month. I will say this much, have all your parts and tools ready and take your time. Especially when trimming the reflector buckets. It's easy to cut material away, hard to put it back.

Yea I used the jnc method its pretty much amazing! If you can look up blurred talons work its also pretty amazing! Quad fx-r I pretty sick, if I had the money I do that or with the newer mini's

My quad fxr has been ditched, too much of a pain getting the inners to line up right. Not to mention the high beam buckets are so small that a quad is very very hard. I have single TL projectors now.

Good job but those MH1s are child's play compared to an OEM projector. The back of the OEM isn't threaded, hence why we make brackets to mount them.

You think doing a quad with the mini's would be a pain still?

Yes, there is very little room in the high beam buckets. I actually too measurements, you would need to trim so you wouldn't be able to use the threading on the Minis.

What are those from?

They look like E55s. You'll have to cut the back of the reflector out and some of the bottom to clear the solenoid.
Here's what I did to get those projectors to fit in my first retro:

I wouldn't cut in a square though. Get a hole saw that fits over the stock bulb holder and then a 3" hole saw. Screw the smaller hole saw into the larger one and it will keep the big one centered while you zip through the reflector. The result, a nice clean perfect hole.

You really don't need 2 projectors in each housing if you use a Bi-Xenon with a proper Projector housing (hinged cut off). They are actuated so that when you kick on your high beams, a hinged cut off shield drops out of the way and gives a much taller/wider cut off pattern, and allowing full light output.

Yea I know this, I've done my research. Just think it would be slightly diff to have four instead of 2 plus my crappy halogen highs. Have all hid high beams

Well delete the halogen high beam and install some running lights or something. Get creative.

Thought about doing on the passenger side highbeam makin like a ram air hole and thn make a custom airbox from metal around the intake and have that hole lead right to the box...if that makes sense? But unsure of how that would be for rain and snow and then I wouldn't know what to do with the driver side to "balance" it.
