I have EvoScan and a 1.3U cable that I use on my Evo. The software works very well and I am somewhat familiar with it. That being said, I have a 91 TSI FWD that is completely stock that is experiencing some problems. So since i already had logging software I decided to build a cable to help with the diagnosis using the following post: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...6-easy-way-make-1g-usb-datalogging-cable.html

The cable works great but I am experiencing some problems with the software, which I knew I would since its designed for the Evo ecu and not a 1g. My question is for those of you who are running it in a 1G, what all can be logged, and what all works? On mine the RPMs, and TPS are correct, however the speed is reading around 200 mph while I am sitting still. Also my coolant temp is reading 362.3°F. I suspect my coolant temp sensor may be the cars problem and if so then that would explain the reading. There are other things that do not work though, like the DTC scan and being able to activate the fans, injectors, etc.

You can Edit the XDF for Evoscan and fix most issues you will have using with any car. What works and Doesn't with Evoscan is really dependent on the car and Version you are using though.

You might Try this out though is you have to much trouble with it,

How To Log a 1g...

EDIT:
If you want shoot me an Email and I can get you a "Package" that should (depending on your OS) work pretty easy and is already setup for MMCD on a Emulator. I need get around to doing a write up on how to get that going as It's bit more involved depending on Computer then that above.

I've never been able to get Evoscan to work on a 1G, but I've read in many places (even on the Evoscan site somewhere) that v2.6 is best for DSMs. No reason why, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks for the link. I will give that a shot later today and see how that goes.

I have not a 1g but a 91 Mirage which should behave similar. (Edit: 4G67 1.8L DOHC)
I can log definitely:
TPS, rpm, voltage, timing advance,Inj pulse width, inj duty%, inj latency, coolant temp, knock sum,air temp, airflow (Hz), lambda, isc steps and the ones calculated of these. Would need to look up if others can be logged as well.

For speed I have jumping values between 0 and ~500 ^^

That makes me feel good that I'm not the only one getting a crazy mph reading. What about being able to scan for codes? Can you get yours to do that?
