2 parts won't separate like they should. First I'm changing the drivers cv shaft. The cv shaft will not separate from the intermiate shaft. I have used a pry bar in a circular pattern and it only bunged a mm. Second I can't get the tranny to fully separate. It seems to be stuck at the top center. I am pretty sure I have all bolts removed including the lil 10mm one behind the wg. Lastly how heavy is the tranny gonna be when it finally drops?

I've never had any axles stuck that bad so I don't have any advice for you there except for brute strength.

And the awd trans is probably around 90lbs or so. Most men can handle it decent enough to get the job done, you're in the military so I'm sure you'll be fine. As far as the trans being stuck, you did take out the transfer case already right? If you did then just again, brute strength. Use a prybar and crack that sucker open.

Did you take the spline on the shaft out of the hub? I assume its man? BTW those things are about 80+ pounds.

Yes I removed both axles and the transfer case, and have followed the vfaq for most of the job. I also removed the center bearing that is in between the driver cv, and intermediate shaft. What is puzzling me is that everything else came off fairly easily. I removed the pass axle with just a light tug. All bolts broke free with nothing more than a 2ft breaker bar.

Here is an update. I got the tranny free. Apparently it was hung up on one of the pins shown here in the bottom right, and top left. The metal gasket looking thing broke free from the tranny on the top side, and free from the engine on the bottom. Once I pried it out the tranny came out with minimal effort... I say minimal with a big sigh, that thing was a PITA! I think I needed to jack the car up higher.

Here is the intermediate shaft. I thought this didnt have a clip on it? Anyways, I got a new set of pry bars, and used some unconventional techniques and got it apart.

Next is the ball on the release fork. I know your suppose to place a lock washer under the ball when you do a clutch job. Is this a washer from a previous job? Or should I put another one down?

Lastly, another damn stuck part. I have tried to just pull it off, and lightly pry it off. It is not even budging, and I down want to warp the PP. What am I doing wrong?

Is that a stock clutch btw? If not what is it?
