Ok noob question will a 1st gen 7bolt trans for awd fit a first gen 6 bolt awd engine

yes it bolts right up. There are some year differences in shifter assemblies between 90 and 91 up and spline count differences on the tcase shaft for 90 vs 91 up also

Don't take my word for it but I believe so. as long as its awd I don't see why it couldn't.

Ok because I'm about to buy a 1st gen talon and it has the 6 bolt swap (its a 93 body) so I wasn't to sure but I have the transfer case.drive shaft and rear in my 7 bolt were I'm getting the trans from so the splines on the inside trans will fit for sure because I don't know to much about transmissions I know how to replace them and a clutch but the difference between the splines to me looks the same

count the transfercase splines. It's either 22 or 23. Most are 23. 90 was 22.

Will do.hopefully I get it in a few days I pray at least 2 gear syncos are going out and it spits alotta oil so if my trans will fit I would be ecstatic then its off to a full gasket kit head everything I wanna rebuild the whole thing I mean its bad what I can see I can only imagine some of the stuff I cant see
