I have searched the forums and can not find a problem similar to mine.
I have a 5-SPD spyder and the issue I'm having is only with my forward gears.
In first or second gear with the hand brake fully engaged as I begin to let off the clutch the car leans forward (normal of curse) but once it starts to lean forward there is a loud grinding/popping noise as if something isn't grabbing right, inside the tranny.
I tried this in reverse and it's perfect no problems.
Again this happens with first and second gear.
I put the car up on jack stands and removed the wheels and it spins freely in 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd no tranny noise.
Placed the wheels back on and dropped the car and again same issue. Lurches forward in gear with a loud grinding/popping noise.
Does anyone have any clue as to what this may be or should I just start sourcing a replacement tranny?
Thanks in advance for y'all's help.
