I'm missing one of the bolts that connect the transmission to the block. It's the one that goes right above the tranfer case. What I need to know is where can I get this bolt? Is this bolt the same on all models, n/t, fwd and so on. Because then I can just get one from the junkyard. :dsm:

Ok check this out, I tried to put the bolt in. It goes in through the block first and not through the tranny like the other 3 right. So I put the bolt through and once it gets to the tranny there's no threads for it to go into. I remember this happening with my old tranny too. I don't see a way that I could have misaligned it because the transfer case and slave cylinder, and starter all fit perfectly like they should. So does a bolt actually go there or am I going crazy?

if the 10mm bolts that hold your transmission together ever loosen, it puts alot of stress on that 8mm bolt. It can easily break the bolt off in the transmission if enough stress is put on it. If you can't thread it in, its possible it broke off. I dont know why they decided to go with a smaller bolt in the back like that. My car did not have this bolt when I bought it. The bolt you want is 8x1.25.
